13-Year-Old Boy UK’s Youngest Father Lost the Title After DNA Test

In 2009, a photo of a 13-year-old named Alfie Patten shocked the world and made a headline to be the Britain’s youngest father. For 6 weeks, Patten is busy doting his child and make sure he is there for his daughter. After the DNA was conducted, the results said that Patten is not the biological father of the child and failed to hold the title of being the Britain’s youngest father.

The claim that he was the father of his then-girlfriend child Chantelle changed the life of the 13-year-old completely. He even decided to leave school to make sure the well-being of his daughter Maisie.

The DNA result snatched everything away from Patten as to confirm that another teenager was the biological father of Maisie. According to Justice King of the British High Court, a 15-year-old teenager named Tyler Barker is Maisie’s biological father.

Alfie decided to ditch school to focus to be that best dad for his daughter.

Barker then admitted that he was drunk that time when he had the first encounter with Chantelle. Barker said that he didn’t use any protection because the girl said that she will take care of the situation by taking a morning-after pill. He also confessed that he was afraid to be a father.

When Alfie was told that he was the father of Chantelle’s baby, he was devastated and thought that they will dub him to be the Britain’s youngest father. Patten and Chantelle had been in a relationship for two years and then assumed that he is really the father. Later when the news broke about Alfie, rumors of him not being the father arise and several men claimed that they were also the father of Maisie.

Alfie also admitted that he felt genuinely happy when he first saw Maisie.

Back in 2014, Alfie said in his interview with The Sun what he felt during the situation.

“Having sex at such as young age ruined my life. It was the biggest mistake I’ve ever made and it’s really affected me. I left school with no GCSEs, and I’ve never worked. I can’t imagine how hard life would be if I had to be a father,” Alfie said.

“I’ve had two relationships with girls since then. But when it comes to babies I have no intention of having one soon. Maybe later in life,” he added.
