Working overseas is a burden indeed but with the inspiration brought by people they expect to be there as they return, they keep on staying strong no matter what.
An OFW from Kuwait took her life story in a tele-radio program in Manila on how she met a guy who turned her life upside down.
Lyn, not her real name, met Jun, a military man, through Facebook. They easily fell in love with each other even it was just through chatting.
She thought Jun was an honest guy and she never thought that their relationship will turn out to be something that she will regret in the end.
Jun started to demand some stuff from Lyn. She even sent P12,000 to buy a phone for them to communicate regularly, another P18,000 to buy a new phone and P20,000 to buy a motorcycle.
But when she was about to go home and finally meet him, this guy eventually changed, even told her to have some “cool off” for a while.
When she returned in the country, she was even surprised on what she had discovered!
She saw a post from another woman on Facebook that shows a child, the woman, and Jun together.
“Sabi niya binata siya at hiwalay ng four years sa asawa niya. Pero may anak pala siya,” she said.
However, on the part of Jun, he said that Lyn knew about his wife and son and she still voluntarily gave him money.
“Gusto ko lang linisin pangalan ko. Sinabi ko na may asawa ako at kasal. Sinabi pa niya na payag siyang maging kabit,” he said.
In the program, Lyn stay firm that all she wanted is to have her money back.
They both decided to meet personally to settle the dispute. Upon meeting, they finally agreed to be back as best friends and Lyn no longer wanted to get her money back.
